5 Fashionable, Ethical, Eco-Friendly Diaper Bags

Once you have a baby your diaper bag is basically your purse. So it should be something you love and want to use every day. The good news is there are some seriously stylin' bags on the market. Obviously, we're all about the bags that are made from eco-friendly materials, give back to support causes we care about, and are ethically manufactured. So, drumroll please, here's our picks for our five favorite ethical, eco-friendly diaper bags that we were eyeing before we even had kids....

Since 2007, FEED has been one of our favorite brands for totes, backpacks, and crossbody bags. So when it was time to shop for diaper bags, their website was one of our first visits. As expected, they offer a sturdy, stylish diaper bag that's a perfect pick for mamas AND papas. The FEED Diaper Bag is available in three colors, any of which will go with everything you own.

What We Love About It

The diaper bag itself is built to last through the inevitable abuse a diaper bag is bound to experience. The body of the bag is made from natural cotton and is full of room, featuring three large pockets for bottles, binkies, and other baby necessities. Plus two outer pockets and a safe spot for your personal items like keys and cards. Bonus: it comes with a matching changing pad, made without phthalates or PVC.

FEED's mission is to help combat malnutrition throughout the world. Every product they sell supports the supply of meals, vitamins, or micronutrients to people around the world through their partnerships with Unicef, United Nations World Food Programme, and Feeding America. Every diaper bag provides 180 micronutrient servings for mothers and their children. A worthy cause every mama should be proud to support! This bags for the boho chic mamas. These sustainable and stunning diaper bags are handmade in California. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind and made with love. Perfect for our eco-mamas that like to flash their individual sense of style.

What We Love About It

We're obsessed with the patterns and options... they have 21 different designs of diaper bags! And we want every single one! The bags aren't just gorgeous, they're totally functional. Two interior pockets and two outer side pockets give you plenty of room to store your stuff.
All the leather used is locally sourced. But our favorite part is that the lining is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. We might hate single-use plastics, but we love when they get a second chance at life to be something better.
In addition to being made from eco-conscious materials, Vaalbara donates a portion of every sale to Surfrider Foundation, an incredible nonprofit dedicated to keeping beaches and oceans clean.

Ixchel Triangle

Helloooooo Gorgeous. Please excuse us while we pick our jaws off the floor. These handmade diaper bags from Ixchel Triangle are a truly pieces of art. And did we mention they are totally designed with mama and baby in mind? Which means they are pretty AND practical.

What We Love About It

These vibrant bags are made from upcycled 100% hand woven Guatemalan huipils, which are traditional garments worn by Mayan women. The blouses are rich in color and meaning. As the company describes it:

"Each huipil is unique, tells a story, is handmade, and has a purpose. They really are hand woven pieces of art, whose colors and designs represent the villages and life stories of the women who weave them."

What an honor to carry a bag with this significance and beauty!

Ixchel has used these meaningful artifacts as the base of their bags, which are all handmade in Gautemala and signed by the artisans who created them. The company guarantees a fair wage, good working conditions, and complete transparency for their manufacturing.

Icing on the cake, these aren't just amazing bags we want to carry all the time, they have all the things we need from a diaper bag.... two external side pockets (with zippers!) interior and exterior zipper pockets, and a washable changing pad!

Did we mention they come in 20+ designs? Ok, we're fangirling out here...
